Gourmet food and fine wines attract patrons to Ni Fen Bistro and Epicurean

In case you’ve forgotten the difference between eating and dining, make plans and enjoy a visit to Ni Fen Bistro and Epicurean in Shelby. Nothing jogs the memory like perfectly prepared food and fine wine in a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

Owner Jeanette Sun’s Epicurean shop stocks more than 1,500 varieties of domestic and international fine wines. She always keeps a few bottles for sampling. Also available are an array of unique gifts plus tasty packaged foods that are perfect for sending to friends and family or taking home.

Special events are a habit here. Thursday night brings the Epicurean Live After Five. Sun’s Mid-Month Fridays wine tastings are popular; call for times and details. On the last Monday evening of each month, her Vine and Dine Tasting treats diners to a four-course dinner paired with four complementing wines – all at one price.

Next door to the wine and specialty shop, Ni Fen Bistro offers a full selection of fresh sandwiches, salads and desserts from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the evenings, the Bistro delivers enjoyment of the first order: steaks, poultry, fish and nightly specials priced from $9.99 to $23.00. This is white tablecloth, fresh flowers dining for those who recognize and appreciate quality service in an intimate setting. The 80-seat bistro welcomes weddings as well as corporate and private parties. Catering is also available.
